Home Care for Christian Scientists
In the beginning – The three of us used to work together for the same company. Often we would meet in the morning and walk in together.
One day, one of these friends was having some difficulty making her way to the office, so I walked along with her to be sure she was all right.
Then the next morning she didn't turn up. So I went over to her apartment to check on her. I found that she was home but was reluctant to have me or anyone else come in. Now, this person had no family or close friends who could be a support for her—she was pretty much on her own.
Eventually, she did relent and let me—and only me—have a key, and I was able to help her steady her home situation.
As that experience kept repeating in my thought, the idea for a Home Care for Christian Scientists was born!

A Big HCCSI Anniversary in 2012!
From a modest beginning in 1992, Home Care has continued to move forward and reach those dear ones in need of our services. Over the years we’ve had the privilege of working with people of varied ages and circumstances.
By making our services available, many clients have been able to remain in their own homes. Others we’ve helped move to new home surroundings. All have received care in the spirit of our motto from Galatians, “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” There have been challenges and successes, and we’ve learned from them all.
We’re very proud of the fact that as of June 2012, we’ll be celebrating our 20th year of operation. No small task for any small non-profit!
